Since 2020, our crews have completed more than 40 fence and gate jobs on military installations in the Panhandle, most of them at Tyndall Air Force Base and Naval Support Activity Panama City, close to our shop in Panama City.

We are a customer service company that happens to install fences, and on base that means showing up with the right people, the right paperwork and the right materials the first time.

What we install on base

  • Galvanized chain link, 6 to 8 feet. 9-gauge galvanized fabric with 2-inch mesh, top rail and tension wire, built to the project's specifications.
  • Barbed-wire arms and slats. Single or Y-style barbed-wire arms where the drawings call for them, plus privacy slats and windscreen.
  • Gates. Walk gates, double drive gates, cantilever gates and slide gates. When a gate needs an operator, our gate division Mr. Gate handles the operator and access control.
  • Vinyl-coated chain link. Black or green chain link for playgrounds, sports areas and family spaces.
  • Vinyl and wood fence. For housing, lodging, recreation and community areas.
  • Enclosures. Dumpster, equipment and storage-yard enclosures.
  • Temporary fence. Temporary fence panels to keep construction areas closed off during phased work.

Base access and how we work

Every person on a Mr. Fence base crew is our own W-2 employee. We use no subcontractors, so the employees who are badged and qualified for base access are the same people who set your posts and hang your gates.

We plan the schedule around the installation's access hours and escort requirements, call in utility locates before we dig, and keep a clean, tight work zone.

Most of our base work comes through general contractors, and we know how that works: drawings and specifications, submittals, daily coordination and a clean closeout.

When a contract calls for fence material to a specific Department of Defense specification, we build to that specification.

Federal contracts

Mr. Fence of Florida, Inc. has been awarded prime federal contracts by the Department of the Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration. Our Unique Entity ID (UEI) is R6N7FKNGNZA3. See our public USAspending profile.
